bimini top

I am going to purchase a bimini top for my 04 170cc. Could someone tell me the size I need to purchase. I think that i need 73"w x 54"h x 6' long. Does this sound right. I looked at a web sight and it shows the triumph taking a 69" w x 54" h x 6' long. When i measure my boat at the cc it measures 69" inside to inside.

Thanks
Dennis

That 69 inside may be for rails mounted to the insides of the gunnels not on top and centered on the gunnels

Scrappler,

I have an 04 170CC, with a bimini top installed. I will take a few measurements this weekend and try to send to you next week.

I've got my 170DC parked in my yard, and just took some measurements. The spacing on the mounts on my boat is 69 1/2" (center to center) and the height of the top itself (sitting in the garage) looks to be about 55". The mounts are on top of the gunnels, towards the inside. My guess is that 69" width is about right, since I have to "spread" the supports slightly to get them in the mounts. Sorry I can't help with the 6' dimension, since the bimini is not currently mounted.

Bimini Top

Scrappler, I have a 2004 170CC, and I have just measured the top in the down position and covered in the boot. The point of attachment is on the top ofthe gunnel, by the rear end of the center console and measures about 69 and 1/2 inches wide. This is inward from the center line of the gunnel by about 1 inch.

It also measures about 66 inches from the point of attachment on the gunnel to the top (the top support poles are curved to drain water to the side) of the boot as it rests on the splash area near the transom.

I hope this helps. You could also call Merritt Marine or or the factory who could provide you with the size and or sell you the factory top. Mine cost about $300 back in 2004 installed. You can also search this site for I remember a past thread concerning Bimini tops on a 170CC.

I hopes this helps you. Bob

Thanks for all your help. I will order the 69". The only thing that throws me off is center to center on the top of the gunnels is 73". On my last boat the bimini mounts were on top of the gunnels in the center.

Thanks
Dennis
