free board

what kinda of free board can expect in the back of a 17 cc with a 75 2 stoke merc?? and what kinds of seas can this machine take????

I don't know the exact measurement for the freeboard but I will say that I've never had a wave come over the back. I did have one come over the front but that was from a headboat going by while I was trolling. I have a 60hp Merc 2-stroke so I'm sure the weight is close to what you are asking. The 170CC can take a lot more seas than I can...I've never had a worry about whether the boat can handle it. I've been caught in some pretty snotty weather and the boat handled it perfectly...I, on the other hand was very glad to step on dry land again.

I'am just going out striper fishing and have a 170cc with a 75 etech. I will measure it for you and post it tonight. I have never had a problem with freeboard even with my slim 275lb frame.

thanks both I have a slim build myself...got a physical yesterday and weighed in at 345 but I had all my clothes on..lol with change in my pockets
