Well I followed your mod for the livewell lid and it worked out great. I screwed a couple piano hinges to permanently mount the lid and installed weather stipping to form a seal and keep the water from splashing out.
I also picked up a $20 bracket that mounts to the livewell seacock so that I can pump water into the well while up on plane. Works great to keep the water aerated and didn't require drilling into the hull. I will post pictures soon.
