My Wife just inherited a 2003 17' DC. We don't have the owners manual and there does not seem to be one available online. Is there a way to obtain a copy?

We launched her today and I'm a little worried. When we (my son and I) go foward water begins to fill the foward storage compartments. No matter how much we bale it continues to fill. The water seems to stop filling once the level in the compartment reaches the waterline outside the hull. Is there a drain plug I missed? The water does not seem to work it's way to the stern where the pump is. SHOULD I BE WORRIED?

Any help or advise would be appreciatred

In mine, there is a drain hole in each side, you need to get plugs to keep the water out. Expandable rubber pugs, I've seen them at Walmart before, or any boating store,I would think. They drain to the outside water, which is why the level off at the water level, hope this helps.

First, I would contact Triumph customer service. The lifetime hull warranty can be transfered if within the first five years for I believe $300.00, so I would get that done first if possible. Then you can ask them about the water you mentioned.

Just a suggestion.

Neted,

As far as the owners manual goes...you can only get that through a dealer. The factory will not send one.
That front compartment is the baitwell. As was noted in previous replies when the plug is inserted it stays dry. When the plug is left out it will fill and drain on its own. I only know this because I had similar issues with my 06 170cc. Great boat though..Happy Boating!
