i am about to mount a riptide on the front of my 06 170cc. i have two questions...
1. what to do with the bow light when i mount the motor? 2. where does the wire for the pre-rigged outlet come out? (under console or in the rear with the batt. boxes.) bc |

Hi Cipriani,
I just had a Riptide installed on my 07 170CC. The dealer installed it for me. They changed the front light out for a short pole light (probably 8-10 inches tall). It works well and can be removed and stored during the day. As for the wire, I think it comes out under the console. That is where my battery was installed. I would send some pictures, but I am traveling for the next two weeks. If you would like to see them after I get back, just let me know. I hope this helps. |

Cipriani,
I believe the wiring comes out to the center console. This is where I have my 2nd battery that controls my GPS, depth finder, and Riptide trolling motor. As for the bow light there is a pole type light that extends the lighting above the trolling motor/mount. I've seen the light in several boating supply stores so it shouldn't be hard to find. CJ |

I put a new Motorguide wireless on my 17cc. I put a battery switch next to the rear battery and both batteries connect there so I can charge either or both while running. Then I ran #6 copper wire from there thru the tube on the starboard side that feeds the bow light and mounted the female plug in the inside wall to the left of the bow. Been running it for a year with no problems. Make sure you put a 50 amp circuit breaker next to the switch.
