It's funny you mention that. That's exactly why I installed the battery cut-off switch. There is no way to forget to turn it on. If you try to start the engine, nothing happens. If you try to power up the stereo or depthfinder, same deal...instant reminder. My memory is horrible...I need all the help I can get.

Chuck,

I agree with you, (if I remember what you said correctly) and in hindsight, the battery switch is a more fool-proof solution. After a few times of the embarassing answer "Yes, dear, it is NOW", turning the switch on has become part of my pre-launch routine.

As an aside, I remember an engineer I worked with commenting on how hard was was to make things fool-proof, since "fools are so ingenious"! Thinking over some of my past mistakes, I sure can relate to that comment.
