Eric,

I have a couple of spots that I am able to launch from the sand but I don't do it too often because I drive a 2WD Sonoma and am nervous about getting my truck stuck. I will be getting a 4WD Sierra in the next month or so and will start launching at those spots more often.

The boat needs so little water to come off the trailer that I haven't ever had any problems getting it on or off the trailer but that sounds like a good idea. I would love to see some pictures of exactly what you did.
