Troll, I saw the lift that the boat was on. There were 2 bunks that ran the length of the boat instead of 4 like on the trailer. I looked for any obvious bend at the bottom of the transom but couldn't see any. It looked as though it was sitting flush on the trailer bunks. Who knows though. I see prices over the internet that are much higher for this model of boat. I'll see what happens. I'll keep you posted.

There are quite a few Triumph owners in the area and several of them own 170's... See if one of brotherhood can go and inspect the boat with you for a second opinion
