bulge in my hull

I've noticed a bulge on the right side of the hull of my 170cc. It is 5 ft from the tip of the front of the boat and seven inches down. It's not super pronounced, but as I am in the autobody business, it's very noticeable to me. I didn't see this last fall, and never noted it during the winter time.

I use my digital camera at work so I haven't had the opportunity to take any photos.

Thoughts, experiences, or suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,
Justin

You should take it to your dealer and have them check it out.

My 170cc has this as well. actually all the 170cc, a total of 10 at my dealer had this too. we contacted the factory and they reported that this was actually very normal and is the hardening of the plastic around the stringers. They also said that all the 170cc, dc, etc. had these. But, they would vary from boat to boat. some boats would be more visibal than others. I was was told that this in no way affects boat performance. I believe this to be true due to not experiencing any issues with mine, except marrital conflict due to being on the water to much, LOL. hope this helps.

On the inside or outside of the hull?

I have a 08 170CC and haven't seen a bulge. Now, I have to check it out.

On the outside. it is at the outer points of the stringers. Remember there is a huge variation with how pronounced it maybe.

Cool Perfection?

I don't see any pronounced bulge. The hull is not perfectly flat and there a slight bumps, but It's what I expected from a boat that came out of a mold. There are two water drains for the fish box, about 5.5 feet from the bow, on the bottom of the boat. Boat seems to run okay in H20.

Please take photos. Perhaps I'm missing something.

my 150cc also has these ripples on both side of the forward hull. i wrote this site two years ago when i first bought this boat and was assured by the veteran triumph owners that this was standard fare. the boat is not effected by these anomilies. now that i am a veteran triumph owner i dont see them any more and nobody else does either.
