170 Floor Removal
I've got a '02 170 Sportsman and I'm putting in a center consol. I can do it without removing the floor but removal would make the job easier if the manufacturer didn't use Rule sealant to 'glue' the floor to the stringers. Any feedback would be welcome.

I removed the floor in my 17 cc to replace the gas tank. To get the floor up I had to remove the motor ,remove the splashwell and rear seat assembly, and then prythe floor up w/ a bar. Once it got started it came up easy. Make sure to put Rule on the screws when replacing the floor. GOOD LUCK PIRATE PETE

170 Floor Removal
Thanks for the info. I bought the boat without a motor and have already removed the splashwell (talk about a lot of screws) and rear seat. Thanks again.

Splashwell photos
Does anyone have any photos of what it looks like behind the splashwell? Seems like the splashwell could be redesigned (if the seats can be supported without it) to make better use of the space.
Thanks Rob |
