I had a 2005 150CC, and I used a plug that was used for plumbing to seal the holes in the front compartments. I'm not sure of the exact size, but it may have been a 3/4" plug. I screwed one into each of the two front compartment holes from the inside of the compartment. I then used a hot air gun and some roplene material which came in a coil from the Triumph Dealer. I then proceeded to add roplene to fill in the space at the bottom of the plug, and leveled it off with the bottom of the boat.
If you have problems with water getting in the compartment from around the lid while the plug is in place, you may not want to use this procedure. Fortunately for me, after sealing the holes in the compartments, I didn't have problems with water getting in the compartments.
