170 CC running good.
This is really for NCAngler but thought it would help any newbies. Picked up a 2005 170cc two weeks ago from a dealer in Suffolk, VA. Took the boat out and it would only run at 2000 rpm. Took it back to the dealer and he found a deformed gasket in the gas/water separator and one of the techs had swapped two plug wires. Took it out today and everything ran great. 25 mph at 4000 rpm and 37mph at 5000 rpm. One person full tank of gas. Even caught a few fish. You guys are awesome. Thanks for all the great tips and information.
