Trailer spare tire mount
I have a 2004 170 Bass with a MagicTilt trailer with a swingaway tongue.
I have tried two different spare tire mounts from Bass Pro shop that mount on the side rail but they dont fit. The spare tire rubs against the boat when mounted. I am guessing that the 170 Bass and the 170 cc are the same hull. I saw one picture where the spare tire was mounted up near the winch mount but on my trailer the swingaway tongue swings to the starboard side and the trailer jack is on the port side. This doesnt leave much room for a spare tire mount. I dont know if the Easyloader trailer is similar to the Magictilt trailer with the swingaway tongue. If anyone has a mount that works could you please provide the part number and where purchased. Right now my spare tire carrier is the rear bed of my Explorer. Thanks in advance Dave K ( Sarasota FL.) |

Thanks for the reply. I guess our trailers are a little different. My MagicTilt has about 25 inches between the bunks and the winch mount. The spare tire will just fit laying flat but unfortunately the trailer jack is mounted on the port side of this area because I have a swingaway tongue and there is no room in front of the winch stand for the trailer jack.
