Drain plugs and warped deck lid

One of the drain plugs opn my 2005 170cc came from the factory with 40 % of the threads missing in the hull. It was repaired by a factory team at the dealers site. They replaced the plugs with stainless steel drain plugs. They look and work great. The only problem was the failure of Triumph customer service contacting me after I sent them a photo of the problem with a message. I had to contact them a 2nd time after getting no respoonse. They were also notified by my dealer that a front deck lid needed to be replaced. The repair team noted it and that was a month ago with no lid being sent. This week my dealer contacted them again and it should be in next week if it is not one of those "It's in the mail". Great boat, poor customer service so far.

Still no deck lid.

Still have not received the deck lid. Called Triumph and informed them of the poor customer service. It should not take a month and a half to get a part. Paul Miller of Triumph said he would check into the matter.

Well that is no surprise...!!! there customer service totally sucks...I even talked to a rep..and he said they are working on it. But app, they have not fixed that yet. As for the warped deck....Heck with the factory...Force your dealer to replace it, and let your dealer worry about getting paid for the repair. AFTER ALL...it is suppose to be warrenty for life. MY 2 CENTS.

Deck lid arrived

Finally received the deck lid and I installed it. I complained to Triumph about their lack of service. They did seem concerned and indicated that they wanted to improve in that area. They sent me some free items to smoothover the feeling I expressed about their service. They need to hear personally from owners when they have an issue with their product. They will either change and improve their servicing or as people hear about thier servicing they will buy another brand.

Terrible Customer Service

Great boats but the worst customer service I have ever encountered anywhere in the world!!!

Lets hope I never need them for something urgent.

Dozens of calls returned no response at all over a 5 week period and some 51 calls. That takes some beating for bad service and you can be assured the guy you need is never at his desk.

Have you tried your dealer???? Manufactures have dealership networks in place to serve customers. Triumph, Ford, Honda, etc. don't have the resources in place to take calls from dealer customers. I work in my firm's national office. We don't take client calls - that is the job of the field offices - same idea.

Smile Triumph service

JonSouthern,
I need to say that I have just experienced ... just the opposite ... kind of service from Triumph. The rear boat cushions blew out of my boat when I wasn't watching. I had only owned the boat 6 weeks. Triumph sent me two replacement cushions via FEDEX ... free! I'm totally "hooked" on Triumph. Great boat and Great service! I'd strongly recommend them to anyone.

Talking

I also experienced excellent customer service. My rubrails on my brand new boat seem to have turned mint green. Called the factory and got put in the dreaded voicemail. Surprised when I received a call back in less than an hour!!! Even better when told that the issue is covered under warranty and to have the dealer install new rubrails.

I got good dervice

I too got good service from the factory. My tach wasn't making any sense when I got my boat last year. The dealer was useless, never having seen digital guages. I tried to get through to Yamaha (their motor and guages) and found that impossible. Emailed the factory, got a callback and resolution with 3 days. Only problem I have had.
