Question Filling old screw holes

Question: I have removed the bow rail that came on my boat so that I could mount a trolling motor. Is there a way to fill the left over screw holes or any special techniques to make them less visible?

Thanks in advance.

The fastest way would be to fill them with Rule. It will also keep the water out of your inner hull. If you can get some material you can fill them. There have been a number of threads on how to do melt it in. I would go teh Rule route.

ir you obtain some polyetehelene powder from your dealer or some of the plastic welding rod you can heat the holes with a heat gun or plastic welder. you can then melt the powder and fill the holes or use the rod and weld the hole closed. and sand and polish the hole gone. IF you post your question in the tech forum Dick at merritt marine could explain it better.

Thanks for the suggestions...I found the thread on the plastic welder and placed an order. Should be here next week. I'll let you know if I'm successful. Thanks again.
