170cc Listing to starboard

I am having problems figuring out why my boat lists to the starboard when running. It is a 170cc with a 75hp 4S. Even with the load unbalanced to the port, the boat will list toward starboard when up on plane. Anyone else having this problem?? Is it torque from the prop spin??

A couple of things to look at. First, where is our trim tab positioned? Attached is a pic of what I'm referring to. It should normally be offset slightly to offset prop-torque. If your prop turns to the right, you'll get some torque that may cause boat to list to port. If the tab is over-compensating, then it may cause you to list to starboard. Another thing to check is that any swim platform/ladder, hydrofoil or anyting else may be creating uneven drag.

Sounds like to me too much prop torque, try backing off the pitch some... What is your Max RPM at WOT ?

The cheapest first step is to adjust the trim-tab (likely a zinc on your motor).

I will be adjusting the zinc tab and also adding smart tabs to the boat. Should be able to overcome any list issue with that

Installed Smart tabs last night and adjusted the zinc tab as well. Taking her out today to see if I fixed the problem.

Ok, the trim tabs smoothed the ride quite a bit, but the boat still lists to starboard. I am starting to wonder if there is a problem with the hull. Going to play with the tabs a bit more, but getting worried now.

my take on listing at rest is water in the hull (saturated foam).
