190 Bay rod holder drains??

Anyone have a fix for the center console rod holders on a 19 Bay filling up with water? Mine stay about half full and collect tree frogs and other vermin.

Used the wet vac on my rod holders yesterday. Works GREAT.

Used the wet vac last year, but what I really like is to shove a big handled rod down in them real fast, clears them out pretty fast....in your face! haha

I don't worry much with them anymore since a full rod holder tells me that it is not leaking into the inner hull foam

I get tree frogs on my 170cc. I enjoy them, they keep me company when I go out by myself. Not much on conversation but they are great listeners. And I always try to make sure we all come home safe. I've only lost two at sea, no fault of my own.

You know...
Maybe, just maybe, all of us 190 boys need to call the factory as a group and complain about that issue, like the 210 boys did with their fish boxes so the factory would come up with a "fix" for us to make them drain into the bilge If nothing, we will help improve the breed for when the next version of the 190 with lockable rod storage and a poling platform (wishful thinking) comes out

190 owners unite! Ha-Ha...

don't know why the factory went away from it but the 01 186 logics-- what you current guys call the 190 had drain holes at the bottom and water drained out down to the hole level. however, the hole was about an inch up from the deck and there would be some water in the bottom 'till it 'evaped" out. dont think i have a picture in my gallery of the 186 in my gallary showing the holes.

Due to the current 2 part 190 console, the rod holders (if drilled into) could in theory, allow water into the inner hull... I'm torn, I don't like the water in the holders (even though I rarely use them) and I do have a boat that is both covered and has 2 inner hull drains so what little water that "could" make it into the inner hull, should all drain out over time on my boat....

I though work real hard to keep my boat as light and low of draft as possible, and if anybody watched this past weeks "Redfish Nation" event in Clearwater on ESPN then you know why We have water that can get so skinny an Airboat or a Water Moccasin could get beached! Ha-Ha... So I have not descided if I will drill drain holes for mine or not yet and open up another possible source of water intrusion to add weight. That is why I think we need to "ask" for some factory engineering help in the matter and see what they can "cook up" for us as more logical fix

My first hull had drain ports. My second hull has none. Personally I feel that the holders shoud be moldle ith a 1/2 inch gap at the bottom to drain water
