boat cover needed for 190 bay

Hey guys (and gals), I am in need of a good boat cover for my 190 Bay. Anyone have any deals out there they can put me on. As always, I want the most for the least like everyone else. Thanks. Don

Mudd-Mann - I would start with a search of this site. There have been other postings on this subject in the past.

Mudd-man - I went with the 20'6"-21'5" CC cover from BassPro and have been happy with it. It also has a motor cover sewn in at the stern. It's not cheap but much less than a custom cover. The fabric breathes and is water repellant, plus has elastic-type edge that helps with the fit. I went with the 102" beam and that wasn't too big on our 96" beam boat... item # 38-560-634-01

I used three 10' PVC pipes to frame out the boat and the cover fits over the frame well...

Cheapest would be if a dealer would save you a transport boat cover and give it to ya. They are really nice and made specifically for Bay 190's with and without t-tops. Second option is a large tarp from Lowes or HomeDepot using bungees to hold it down. If you have no t-top on the boat, make sure to keep the forward deck seat mounted to aid in water sheding and aereation.

Cinci, thanks for the info. I noticed on the Bass Pro site that the 20' cover has a 96" beam. Do you think that is too small for the boat or would the 102" cover it better? I'm only concerned about shedding water, so the pvc may not be needed. I probably won't trailor it with the cover on either. My only concern is to cover it while it is stored at the beach in a storage lot. I tend to oversize myself, but sometimes too large won't tighten down very well. Thanks. Don

I got a Canvas cover for my 19Bay off ebay. It is a model DLX-020V. and is a good fit even with the bow rails. Forgot what I paid for it.

I got mine off of eBay for less than $200, its cloudburst with the tie downs. It also has the motor cover and has performed flawlessly. I sent a link to you via your mail account along with the one on here. Hope this helps.

Do you have a bow rail? I would go with the 102" if so. I do have a bow rail and the 102" seems to fit well with some excess fabric between the console and bow that is mitigated by my PVC framing. So the 96" beam may work, but my 102" beam cover fits well.
