Marine Audio 190 Bay

Just curious if anyone here has added AM/FM/CD player to their 190 and where they mounted their speakers.

Thanks.

Radio install

I recently installed a clarion cd player in my 190, I lowered the passenger handle to install the radio and allow the handle to still be used. I used the templates provided with the speakers to cut the holes in both sides of the console just under the triumph sticker and about 1" below the ridge with a rotozip blade in a cordless drill.

Talking 190 stereo

I installed a Jensen (5112) stereo and put the speakers on the side of the console nearly exactly where molar boater shows in his post, on my 02' 190bay. I mounted the stereo inside the console and added the wired remote which operates all the functions of the stereo. The remote is about 2" x 4" and is made to fit in the gages hole that is already on the console panel. This eliminated any altering of the console and works GREAT!! I highly recommend. I'm not good with downloading pics, or I would.

I went with a waterproof cd-stereo and waterproof speakers all by PolyPlanar. If you are not going to install a completely waterproof stereo, definitely think about coxg20's recc. Most stereos have a wired remote or wireless option these days. I am hard wiring my iPod to mine and would mount stereo preferably in an ebox if I did it again with a remote.
