Change a trailer tire.... HA I had to do that on the very FIRST trip out of my driveway to go to the lake. it was a sunday and i had no spare or proper tools yet. But I borrowed a hydrolic jack, had a big cresent wrench and actually found a tire store open to fix the tire..Still managed to make it to the lake.

Been there, done that. I had to get a new hinge from Merrits. I was lucky, I saw the seat fly off, and slide down the road. I was suprised how well the thing held up to 50 mph road rash. Carl at Merrits said he has had them fly off while trailering from the factory to his yard, which is just a few miles.

During boating months, I keep a cinder block, 3 ton jack, spare hub, large cresent wrench and marine grease in my truck. Hadn't needed them in 5 years but do lots of maintenace over the winter and keep the speed under 70mph.
Does anyone ever notice that Igloo lids always become open in the boat when trailering? |
