long term storage
Hi all, I have a 2002 186 cool bay (190 bay) with 90 johnson, love it, was looking for a boat and it was the best decision I ever made. Anyway, I'm in the NY National Guard and being deployed to Afganistan maybe next June and was wondering what I should do to store a boat for maybe 2 years, eng, boat, trailer etc. Thanks and keep on boating.

First of all THANKS for your service to this country. I pray you have a safe and productive journey.
I would remove the tires, wheels, battery and store inside, Remove the spark plugs and fog the motor. Get all the gas you can out of the tank, fuel lines and carbs. Put fuel stablizer in the rest of the gas. Make sure the boat can drain all rain/snow water.
