Retrofit 04 with 06 coaming bolster

Has anyone ever felt the need for coaming bolsters on their older 190 Bay? I am wondering if I can add these to my 190 and what effect it will have on the boat. I am 6'4 and on a long day on the ocean or lake leaning over the side to get fish and washing hands, I get bruised around my knee cap, which makes for rough days following. Anyhoo, just wondered if anyone has ever thought about or done this before.

I thought about adding them till I saw how much space they took up in the process and elected to pass... They do not look like they would be very hard to install though if you did want to do such

I put the bolsters on my 02, 190 bay. They are about 1 1/2" thick, but you don't lose any floor space. It took me about 3 hours to install and cost $200.

I changed out those foam rod holders with Garlick marine lumber style which prevented me from running bolsters all the way soooo I picked up four "Hull Savers" which usually are mounted to docks. They are a sealed 2x4 foam bolsters about 3' in length each and allowed me to install them simply in areas between the rod holders.
