not to diss the 190 at all id like to mention the 210 comes set up great for west coast style fishing. I got mine last year 04 at the LA boat show, a new 03 210 w/T top yam 115 4 stroke under $25,000 from Johnson marine in Onterio. the thing kills fish I think it has to do with the lack of vibration transmission thru the hull. I fish the channel/islands I have some photos posted that might intrest you

if you are mostly ocean fishing i wouldnt be in anything but a 210cc. i started out in '01 with a 186 logic and it was a perfect inshore ,lake , and river boat but the conditions better be and stay perfect for the ocean. in '04 i bought an '01 Q2 210cc hull and put a new 140 4 stroke on it . the difference is day and night as to what the 210 can handle and the 190 cant in the rough stuff . the 210cc will get you home in a squall with 10 foot seas. ops: the 190 will take 3 footers over the bow at anchor.
just my 2cents as an owner of both boats
good luck
robert

Hey, let your Grandpa get the Bay 190 for now and you pick up the 230 in 2007. Then you'll have all the bases covered!

We have changed some things, no Bimini Top but we might get a T-Top, And by the way to Meritt Marine, That 190 for sale is a great price, but we are in so-cal, so we cant buy a boat from you. We used to have a Boston Whaler 17' Montauk, a great fishing boat even in 5' seas, but all the maitenance brought us to think about Triumph. Plus we are wanting to go up to Vancouver Island(Campbell River) to do some fishing, and the 210 will be too big to tow 3,000 miles.

Hey mtblife
I store my boat at Dana Point Marina. If youd like to hook-up, I could show ya some of the mods to my boat and could give ya names for custom covers, T-top and SS fabricators.

There are very few plastic boats out west. I knew nothing about them, but this forum and the previous (logic dave) forum are my only source of great infor.

The 210 is not to big to tow 3000 miles if you realy want to. I have towed mine 1200+ at a shot. no problem. I even towed 15 hours no stops other then fuel with no problem.

Haven't posted in a while, everything now depends on "$El Dinero$". We gotta find the right financing because who wants 14-18%. I'll post later.

Thanx
