Looks great J. Thanks for the follow up.

The T-top looks more sturdy in your pics compared to the fishmaster's website. The boats they have it on are larger than the 190 so its easier for my eyes to pull scale from your photos.

Did they run a 12V power supply for spreader/deck lights and other accessories or just for VHF?

Also, does the elec box and tbag impede the conversion process?

Let me know how it holds up in chop. Noises, rattles, etc.

Man, I'm jealous as ****...Great looking rig.

Wink

Nocturn: I only had them run the power supply for the VHF. I had them install the Todd Electronics Box. I purchased the bag separately and it took me all of 10 minutes to install it. It holds 6 PFD's and afew othjer accesories.
Will keep you posted. Thanks for the kind words.
John

Thumbs up Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Just returned from Ocean City, MD where I fished every day. The T-top is very sturdy and did not show any signs of loosening when I deliberately bounced it over waves and wakes. Got many compliments on the 190 Bay and the T-top during the week. It is an absolute pleasure being able to lower the top when traveling and it only takes me about 5 to 10 minutes to put it up when I get to my destination.
Thanks for inquiring.
Tight lines,John

oc md fishing

J,

We fish all the time in O.C. MD. Flounder have been plentiful but small. Caught 9 last sat. 1 keeper 18"
caught 25 2 weeks ago (3 seperate trips) with 4 keepers.
Its fun running that back bay area. The 190 handles chop very well and i can run 30-35mph in 2 ft chop with no problem.
We see more Triumph all the time.
good fishing!
Keep us posted on that top.

Question New Guy

Hey that top looks great on your boat. I have a garage with an 8' tall door I'll be parking my boat in when not in use and until now thought the T-top was not an option. Thanks to your pics and info I now have a T-top option. A few questions: Without the electronics box, how much trouble is it to raise and lower? Does the top seem pretty heavy or can one person reposition it easily? If I put in on I'd have to do it each time I use the boat so it would have to be an easy one man job. Thanks in advance.

Fishmaster T-Top

I'm looking into getting a T-Top for my 190 Bay and after reading this thread I am now intrested in the Fishmaster Universal T-Top. I see that J Keeler already has one and seems to be very happy with it (it looks fantastic by the way) I just have a few questions for you J Keeler if you don't mind.

1. Did you have them install the braces as they suggested?
2. Is the 90 hp sufficent enough power?

Any response will be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

Arsmetal:After approximately 30 hours of hard running, I took my boat back to the dealer (Hooked on the Bay). for its 20 hour checkup. The first thing that they checked was to see how the installation of my FishmasterT-Top was holding up. They could find no evidence of loosening. It was as tight and secure as installed without the suggested braces. Personally, I do not see a need for the braces.

The 90 HP Honda is more than adequate for me. I believe that a larger engine will cost you in fuel economy.

Hope this helps.

Thumbs up Go for it!!!!!

I really enjoy being able to be out in the hot mid day sun with my t-top protecting me and allowing me to stay comfortable. I am also in the process of looking into having a custom made enclosure to allow me to stay comfortable in rain and cooler weather.

You won't regret your decision.

John
