Lenco 164s alongside PowerPole

Hi to all,

As I have been anticipating in the 190 Bay forum, I finally had the Lenco 164 trolling motors installed on my boat. Had to remove the swim ladder and replace it with a telescoping one (see post in 190 Bay forum if you're interested) . If anyone out there is contemplating installing Lencos please feel free to email me directly for a few caveats I learned along the way. To post them on this site would be unfair to Lenco who, incidentally, turned out to be one of the finest vendors I have ever dealt with.

Looks great
And now all we have to figure out is will one of those longer spikes from the XL 8 foot power poles will fit on our 6 foot models That extra spike reach would come in real handy some times

how long do you keep the boat on the rack as shown in your picture?? reason i ask is i think there should be 4 bunks supporting your boat. mind you it has be many years since i owned my 186 logic ,but i remember having to modify 4 bunks on my trailer , 2 near the centerline and 2 out about where the trolls are. dont think that rack is sufficient for long term storage---then i may be wrong ---anyone want to jump in and correct me or verify please do
found a PICTURE FROM SITE OF 2 BUNKS NEAR CENTERLINE AND 2 FURTHER OUT

Hi Illogic,

First off thank you for your concern. You are undoubtedly correct about the support for the boat. However, since this is a marina, and the one I originally bought the boat from, I have nothing to say about the racks. The front of my boat has developed the same warp other members have complained about. Hopefully, if anything really serious happens, they will stand behind the boat.

MM

PS. If it doesn't stop raining here (in the Keys) soon I may be trading it in for an ark.

Hey I know that picture

I would be careful though about the 2 bunk issue and if they are a true Triumph dealer, they should know about such, and the importantance to provide proper support to the 190 hull It would be easy enough though to add an extra 2 bucks (cheap insurance) to that rack system and since they have a fork lift much easier and faster to do such repairs then us trailer bound guys

Good thing is the sag should correct its self "if" the hull is supported correct. I would just have them leave the boat in the water for a few days to get a jump start on the process while the 2 extra bunks are added to your rental rack
