Prop Advice
I have an '02 190 Bay with a Yamaha 115 4-stroke and I'm looking for a new prop to replace my dealer installed aluminum one. I mostly use the boat for fishing inland waters and near shore off the coast of NC. However, I do like to wakeboard too.
I currently have a 13 1/4 X 17 and I would like to move to a stainless steel. Anyone in this forum have any suggestions? |

my 01 logic 186 had the same motor as you have. i ended up with the same dia and 17 pitch stelleto ss prop. steleto was good for fishing and dragging the yungins on their inner tubes

hello we have a 191 fs and it is powered by a 115 yamaha also. the dealer has been working on the boat because the engine blows out when turning anyway. he put on a 13x17 stainless prop for me to try and we went fishing with myself and 2 other guys if we all set in the rear the boat wouldnt even plane out and rpm's wouldnt go above 3200 once the guys moved to the front it planed out and turned nice but top rpm was 4800 to 5000 yamaha said I didnt get the 115 hp from my motor untill 5500 rpm so they said not to run the boat untill we get the rpm's higher because it was to much load on the engine hope this helps I have a 13 1/4x 17 3 blade allum. to try now but havent made it to the water yet ....Geo

Try one of these till you find the right pitch for your combo OR like I do, and just leave it on as my main prop since I am in skinny water all the time
