I have a friend who is buying a 19ft boat. He is trying to decide between a few models (Triumph, Key West and Triton). I have given him my opinions on the benefits of a Triumph, but I only have a 15ft. Any 19 Bay owners who would like to chime in to give the Triumph 19 Bay accolades, I've given my friend this website to look at so he can see all the good things owners have to say about their boats, especially ones who have had both the Triumph and maybe a glass boat before. This will be his first major boat to buy, and I have no comparison because I started with a Triumph. Thanks for any input; lets get another Triumph owner on board.

I had an older Chaperelle prior to my Bay 190....hard to compare but it was fiberglass and it developed a crack in the bow and the old Evinrude 2stroke smoked and sputtered like all other 2 strokes made in the 1970's!
Fast forward to 2002 when I bought my second boat. The motors are all fine and very expensive! Many of the "fiberglass" boats are not much fiber and alot of composite putty. If you want a shiny boat, you can wipe-down a Triumph with "Wet-n-Shine". Lifetime transferable warranty is a big selling point, unsinkable and easy to maintain, esp if this will be his first boat.....just like your first car....they usually take a little more of a beating! Waxing, gel coat chips, cracking @ high stress areas. All these and sun fadeing is my experience with a glass boat purchased new in '88.
None of the above with a more gentle ride and clean-up with trusty Dawn dish detergent. As birthdays accumulate, thank God, the minimal hassle factor has ever increasing value |
