2007 Modifications Completed!

Today was the day. Nice weather to work on the boat and get those things I had been planning since last year to do.

First, I got my boat back from Roughwater Marine which finished my warranty hull and scupper modifications.

Next, for Christmas, I bought a Rule Oxygenator system for the livewell. So I held my breath and drilled two holes. Not too hard but the pump mounts in that small access hole and the exhaust mounts from baitwell then into the access. The trick is connecting the 8" of hose from one to the other, now that was a challenge with only one hand and two ss hose clamps! Hint: hot air gun and simple green. I then ran the on/off to the old livewell switch. The air intake valve fit nicely on the console where a small guage would have fit. Filled the well up with water and it worked!

Last, I installed a Bigfoot Livewell Variable Timer on the console panel so it can run intermitantly.

I guess this is my conservation good deed for the year...two things to help fish live a better life........at least till they are released as bait!

Now I am ready and hope to have some "hyperactive" bait for TBOT07.

Spoke too soon!

WestMarine has Starboard on sale and so decided to make a tackle compartment to mount under the leaning post.

Very nice! Excellent use of space. There's always somewhere to squeeze out a little more storage space.

Thanks, my tackle box dropped 10lbs! I am keeping all sinkers in one of the tackle trays. The cooler lid holder was just a simple bonus.

Nice addition! lloks really good, I have been thinking about doing something similar on my 210, except it will hold a single box in a verticale postion and be mounted on the console side of the livewell. Since, I am a very simple fisherman, for offshore, hooks, sinkers and a few leaders and maybe a trolling rig or two. For inshore, hooks, sinkers and popping corks. Hence, two trays and I am done lol. Havent had my big tackle box on the box in years.

Cheers and keep up the good work!

PileDriver, I carry the kitchen sink, esp when my wife and daughter are aboard. Hmmm, a sink might fit in the splashwell.........that'll have to wait till next weekend. Wish I was fishing too much to do all this stuff though!

Thanks,
Molar

A sink huh, actually, I have a plan for a freshwater system on my 210, I really dont use the mega hatch/hold for much, couple of extra lifejackets and a 5 gallon bucket, poor mans porta-potty. Anyways was thinking of putting a freshwater tank in the hold. While it would be nice to have a large quanity of freshwater on board, it would also double for a little extra bow weight something most of the 210 could use in big chops, (3 footers). Anyways the season is here and unless the conditions are nasty, that wont be happen anytime soon.

Looks good Brother!
How well does the door stay closed in the chop? And how much to make me one?

No chop test yet but used a 40lb Taco magnet clasp and the door is beveled slightly up to snap shut using the post tubing. Could add another magnet as they are only @$28 a piece or 1/3 tank of gas!
