Bought two Whale 3/4" non return valves from BoatersWorld for $14.99 each and cannot wait to plug up those scuppers.

Tried in the non return valves and they fit almost perfect and almost flush to the inside of the existing scupper. I am going to just seal them into the existing scuppers from the inside of the boat and plug up the detachable section of the housing with rule and thread this into the valve housing as a "plug".
Wouldn't you know this is a rubber "slit" valve tube. I had something like this as an external bilge plug drain on an old 1970's runabout(no bilge pump). The weight of the water allows it to escape out the "slit".
I think this just may be the ticket.....for only $28 bucks!

I think Ocean Kayak makes Scuppers... not sure if they will work though.

Put the Whale non return valves in and noticed that it was 45 degrees outside when I Ruled them in. I like Rule Elastomeric ten times better cold! It wasn't runny and cured to a real nice smooth glossy finish.

This is a little late but I field tested the Whale scuppers.....they are better at slowing water coming in than letting the water out. Still searching for a better fix but will tinker some more with the Whales.

dont know if this will help.
I bought sm. SS clam shells to cover the side scupper and promote better vacuum affect when motoring.

Foul-Hooked, did that mod help? did you rotate the rubber scupper flaps sideways as well? Thanks for the suggestion.

Molar
I cut off the orginal rubber flaps cause they were kinda torn from the force of the water against the boat.
The SS clam shell helps to create a vacuum suction and it looks alot better than a black hole in the side of the boat.

And its cheap

foul hooked

Got the same problem!

Do all 19's share this water intrusion problem? If so I think Triumph should acknowledge and help us out. My 19 will get 1>2 inches along the rear sides when not motoring. This has got to be a design flaw.
