Essential 190 Bay Options

G-day team.

I very much enjoy this forum as it has helped me to settle on a Triumph for my next boat.

I soon plan to purchase a 190 Bay and I am a little baffled by the available options. Can anyone provide me a list of must haves. For example do I need the hydraulic steering option? and are the coaming bolsters useful?

Also, how well does the 115hp 4 stroke push this boat? Will it satisfy my fishing needs and the needs of my young family? or should I look at a 140hp. I am not realy a horsepower hero, but I dont want my 7 year old to be bored while being towed on a tyre tube.

Hydraulic steering not needed but alot on this site like it. Get the 140(or 150) for the "family" watersports needs. Coaming bolsters are nice if you will be fishing anywhere the water is not calm.(your knees will thank you)

Also, consider strongly, the swim platform, front bow cushion, Bimini top or T-top because the family are going to eventually want out of the sun or rain.

Just my opinion and the way I have my 190 outfitted.

ps, add a lube nut to the nofeedback steering(ask your dealer) and for @$20 you will have buttery-smooth steering and a long lasting/simple/inexpensive/relatively maintanence free system.
But if you got the money........buy it all!
