36 volt battery system questions

If I am looking to get a 36 volt system going with a 101 pound thrust Minn Kota riptide- can I just wire them in series and still use the trolling motor plug in the bow of the boat?
Also - would 3 beefy optima batteries fit in the battery storage compartment ?
I ordered the TM bracket, and I am wondering if there are any other considerations regarding this 36 volt system. I plan to get one of those ram stabilizer mounts to keep the motor from bouncing around.

As long as you wire the trolling motor plug to match the receptical you should be fine (I am assuming you have a heavy guage wire, like a 6 guage, going to the receptical). Double check to make sure. You'll more than likely have to measure to make sure all of your batteries will fit...make sure you can tie them down too. I hope this helps.

I have 3 nautilus deep cycles in series. Just redid the connecting wires and terminals after 4 years.

Make sure you put something under the center battery to allow water drainage out of the box.

Wouldn't hurt to add vinyl weatherstripping to the box rim either if not done already.

Ram stabilizer is a must with the 101.
