deck plate water fountain and bench seat mounts

2 questions. 1- my bench seat has pulled out the screws form the deck twice now. I went to pull the big deck plate under the bench seat to bolt the seat in for good and could not do it as it runs back under the battery box as one piece. In the process of pulling screws out of the deck plate at the bottom of the center console i had 2 inch water geyser shooting up when i pulled the 4 screws out. I could not find how to get to and get rid of the water. Any suggestions on a better mounting system for the main bench seat and where the water was shooting up from would be greatly appreciated. thanks, bob

Bob,
You might want to get some toggle bolts for attaching the bench seat. They are easy to install and hold very well. I know that Merritt Marine carries them but I'm not sure if they are in their online store or not.

Merritt Marine Ship Store

Regarding the water ... if I'm following you correctly you may want to check out the inner hull drain as show in this thread:
Inner Hull Drains...the official word from Triumph

If there is water in your inner hull you should be able to drain it from there into the bilge according to Triumph.

Last time I looked water always ran downhill matter of fact, I am betting that next to light God created gravity right after such

So I am thinking that one might be much better served, using that same bandwidth praying about items at little closer to your own personal needs, and leave the physics (which are pretty much constant now) to God's big auto pilot systems

Red face water issue and bench seat anchors

Guys, I spoke with factory Triumph and they were very helpful. The water was from the center console as i was fishing in a rain storm. Toggle bolts will fix the bench seat once and for all. I owned a whaler for 25 years and knew the inner workings of the boat well. All boats have quirks that are fixable. Right now I have owned the boat for two weeks and the learning curve is high. The previous owner knew nothing about the boat, so i am fixing his neglect and learning about my boat. I find it good therapy for me. I have not missed a day of fishing over any of this and really appreciate all the help i am getting from the veterans on this website. I will own this boat till i die so i want to know it well. Thanks
