Hello, I am thinking about purchasing a second hand 90 bay that is a few years old. I have two questions in case anyone has the time to respond. Appreciate the help.
(1) I have read a lot about the unique durability of Triumph's hulls, but I have also seen a few instances of "deflections" or apparent folding of small sections of the hull. Can anyone provide their perspectives as to their experience with durability? (2) Does anyone know if the lifetime gaurantee on the hull is passed to the second owner upon purchase or if the gaurantee is only granted to the first owner? Is it a painful process to get hull damage repaired by Triumph? Thanks!!! |

jwade, welcome to the web site.
Warranty, can be transfered to the second owner if within a certain number of years. Hull problems have been due to incorrect trailer setup and other problems. Try using the "Search" feature found at the top. It really does work on this site. I could try to remember and type all that has been said in the past on these items, but there is a lot there for you to read. The Warranty Transfer form can be found at: Triumph Warranty Transfer Form That is the most important item (at least in my opinion) that you asked about.

I would get the hull identification number and call Triumph to make sure the boat is currently under warranty and ask if a second warranty is available just to be sure. Just too easy to call the 1-800 number and be certain before the cash is handed over.

I purchased a used 2004 19 bay in 2005. Filled out the warranty sheet along with my $300.00 check and it was accepted. Triumph did do warranty repairs after that. (front hatch drain hole misdrilled letting water into inner hull).
