beradon, I could not find it right now but there is west coast members a few years
back with a 190 that he had customized with acustom fabbed anchor roller with
the bow lights moved,it is sharp.. It may have been on the old site but it is possible.
How is your welding? Actually it looked like just a few shop hours for an experienced
fabricator......steve

Anchor Rode Tie Off

Baredon,

I had the same question after first acquiring my 190 Bay. My solution was to use the forward cleats and add two bow chocks fairly close to center (about 10" off center). While this doesn't get the bow exactly into the waves, it is quite close, works well, and is much easier to use than leading through the bow eye. The chocks are thru-bolted with fender washers accessed by removing the tilt/trim switch/trolling motor connection panel.

Great Idea CR Angler-Never realized to removing the trim/tilt panel would allow enough space to thru-bolt chocks. Since i don't use the forward casting seat I'm going to screw a cleat or a small bitt on the mounting plate and use your method to install the chocks. Thanks!

FTR, I think Triumph is real shortsighted for not using a combo Bow Light/Cleat unit like Boston Whaler uses. Do they really expect 190 owners to lean over the bow and tie off to the bow eye??

I installed a pair of skene chocks on both sides of the nav light socket. I run the anchor line through one and then to a cleat then usually across the bow to the opposite cleat. I'll try to take a pic and post it

I simply attached a cleat with scews to the inside/back of the anchor locker. I can try to take a couple pics so you can see what I mean.

no worries about the pics. I was just wasnt sure how solid the walls of the locker were and if you needed to use a toggle bolt or just stainless screws.

I just tie off to a cleat, but I don't partially love how the line rubs the boat. The previous owner put an anchor pulley on it but it's at a right angle to the cleat and won't run over it.
