Installing a T-Top

I have a 190 bay and am my wife wants to get me a t-top for an anniversary present. My question is has anyone purchased and installed one themselves? I don't want her to spend too much money and I'm thinking I could save it by installing it myself. Any suggestions?

Personally, I do not think you will save much, if you install yourself, besides, a T - TOP needs to be measured with the boat, and in the case of mine, if minor adjustments were needed, you would have a hard time, where as the install place can adjust right there and then. Also I like the warrenty that comes with it.

Installing a T-top

Thanks man! Did you purchase your T-top through Triumph or did you buy it after market and then have it installed? Also did you have your dealership do it or did you take it somewhere else? Thanks again!

When I bought my boat, it did not have a T-Top, So I bought a after Market. They did a great job. Custom fit to my height, and of course to the boat. I had my done here in San Diego @ Pacific Yaught Towers.

i had a non factory custom top done by a local fab shop for around 2000 for my 210cc. I only spent 300 for a modified farm tractor top for my 01 186 which is the same as your 190 and it worked really good for the application.there are a few more pics in the photo section

A custom top will cost about the same as the OEM Triumph, maybe a little less as in my case. If you are close to AL in FL, I know a good shop, there should be alot of choices on the FL coast as well.

I purchased a T Top by Fishmaster and put in on my 190 Bay no problem. The best thing about it is it will collapse and lay dowm. try their web site @ Fishmaster.com

Fishmaster T-top

Thanks Bill! I've seen those before and they look nice however from a distance they look a bit weak. Are they sturdy and can you add components to them like an electronic box? How long did it take them to ship it to you? Also, was it hard to install, how many hours? Thanks so much for your response!
