The motor ,if it's a 20" shaft, should be about right in the position you described. The cavation plate will fall within 1" high or low of the keel [motor down]. Also don't be timid when getting on plane, full throtle, then back off and trim up for max performance.

Thanks. Does Triumph mount motors at the factory or are they mounted at the dealership?
I ask because I recently won a battle to get Honda to warranty my motor even though I'm the second owner (my dealer misrepresented that I was to receive a transfer of the warranty upon purchase, but I never did). In connection with this process, Honda notified me that they shipped my motor in c/o North Carolina Factory and that the motor was mounted onto a Triumph. The 'package' was shipped to my dealer in Long Island New York. So it wasn't really clear who put the motor on the boat. BTW, I'm very grateful to Honda. They are willing to satisfy customers, even when they have a legal basis to deny warranty coverage. |

Dealers mount the motors. Dealers must take a Boat, Motor and Trailer package from the factory, The motors are direct shipped to the dealership and mounted there. Some motors are mounted by the factory, usually on boats that are going to a show.
