So, when are we going Catting? Looks like a sturdy rig...just right for those scaleless wonders.

We dan go cattin anytime or flounder for that matter! I hear you guys have the big blues on the james. I want to plan a trip this summer.
I am hope to test the holders on the big one this weekend.
Be sure to tell everyone how to rename their post to show projects complete.
I have lettered my boat, moved the position of my bimini and went 24v this week. Need to get the camera out and get them posted,
I think I have been stimulating the economy by myself!!!!!!

Yep, the James is a world class fishery, for sure. And, deservidly so, they get all the press. However, the Potomac River (which is really in Maryland but boarders Virginia) is just starting to blossom also. 15 to 20 pounders are common and the Maryland state record was recently caught there. Give it a few years and the Potomac will rival the James in numbers of large cats. Our boat best this year is a 42 lb Blue...so if you're in the D.C. area, keep the Potomac River in mind.

I wish you tight lines and slimey hands.

Chuck & LB,
I was at the Bass Pro Shop in Arundel Mills Mall near Glen Burnie, MD just last night and saw the cat you are talking about. That is where they took it. It is huge!! Bass Pro Shop also has the MD record large mouth bass in there tank. It was also caught in the Potomac River. Here is a link to the MD state record webpage.
