Auxiliaryoutboard installation 190 CC

I am a Happy 190 CC Bay year 2002 owner. Often I go fishing to the open sea. The boat handles excelent even on five feet cross waves.

For safety I want to add a four stroke 15HP Mercury auxiliary outboard on the right side of the transom.Since the cofiguration on this part of the boat is not regular , could any one give me indications on how to do it properly?.

I will appreciate any help. Thanks Cesar Catani

I'm also a 2002 190 Bay owner.

I'm almost certain that a kicker motor is not mountable on the 190. Ask Dick in the tech forum to be sure. For one, there really isn't any place to put it and second, the transom weight limit is 500 lbs.

Maybe your other option here would be to get a cavitation plate-mount trolling motor. They aren't cheap, but another option. Certainly wouldn't push the boat like a 15hp would.

Well if a kicker is out of the question,.........there is allways boats are us towing...and a few other companys that do the tow thing....fairly cheap with membership....I pay $125.00 per year...and that gives me a tow up to 100 miles away at sea....I like that security

Adding to my earlier message: My 190 CC is equipped with a Four Stroke 90 HP Mariner which weigts only 386 lbs, so there is room for the extra 125 lbs that weights the 15 hp kicker motor.
