Battery Power Cable Plumbing

Guys,
Is there a way for me to put a three bank charger in the rear of the boat to charge my secondary cranking battery and still get wore up forward to charge the trolling batteries. I have looked but haven't seen a conduit that runs from the stern to the bow? Is there a path there or does anyone know of a way? Appreciate the help, also any recommendations for a three bank on-board charger brand would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Cajunatheart

Batteries

There should be a tube that runs from the stern to the console, then another that runs from the console forward. As far as charging, you could use a three bank charger, just know that it will take a large gauge wire to run to the bow due to voltage drop. sorry this isn't a more useful post, brain is fried from work. Brands, Pro Charger or Xantrex.

I would suggest two chargers. Once you pay for the tinned marine copper wire from the stern to the trolling batteries you could have bought a second charger.

It will also depend on how many trolling batteries you will be charging. I have three so I would need a 3 bank charger just for them or a 36v charger which I have not seen but probably exists.

Make sure you use a waterproof charger. Let us know what works out and take some pics!

Good Luck, Molar

Chargers

My marine electronics guru swears by the "Stealth" units and keeps them in stock. They are getting rave reviews. Might be worth a visit to their website. It has some good info available also. Good luck.
