Bay 190 T-Tops

Can anyone guide me in the right direction for obtaining a T-Top for my 2003 Bay 190?

Many local suppliers can make one for you which give you that ablity to have one made to your spefic needs and wants. Are you really sure you need one though? The do take up (kill) some casting space and make it harder to get under some bridges at certian tides due to extra needed clearance...

I had a custom Bimini Top made that fits inside the gunnels on sliders (always out of the way) and rests on the 190's forward battery box (see example below) yet still leaves enough space to have a step to the forward casting deck. This way I have total 360 degree fishablity, but can create some shade for lunch or for running back to the ramp to get out of the sun or rain.

on the home page on the bottom left side is a link to a north carolina fabricator who is familiar with our boats and has built the top on my boat. don't know where you are but he hopes to get some pictures of 190's and 210cc tops he has done posted on his site soon. there have been problems with factory tops but i don't have exact details regarding this. maybe some affected owners may respond to this here.there is 1 hard charger here in n.c. that had 2 tops disintergrate on him. boat flexed better than the tops i guess!!! mine has done superbly so far.

What is your location? That may help with references to local custom fabricators which can cheaper than factory T-Tops.

190 T-Tops

I live in Hemet, Southern California area, about 1-1/2 hours from L.A. or San Diego. Is polished anodized aluminum better than stainless?

The anodized aluminum is a lot lighter (helping to keep your center of gravity lower) AND building lower cost for sure. I really do not see much of an advantage of using stainless for a T-Top.

The 190 required angle braces under the floor to keep the T-Top in the boat. It's not that it's a problem on the water, it's towing at 70mph and having a truck pass the other way. We sell the factory top for $1795. + instalation, But it does not ship well. Go custom if you don't have a dealer in your area.

Thumbs up

I just finished my t-top with weather enclosure on my 02 190. It looks great and took me a full day to install. There is a few pictures on this web site of a top that is similar, but the one I ordered from GO 2 Marine is all stainless no plastic. It was not hard to do but you have to take your time. It came out great. Il logical Al had pictures of his which I downloaded and used as a reference. Thanks to him!!! I think this top is a steal, I ordered it with the weather enclosure, shipping and all came to about $750. GO 2 Marine could not of been nicer. Good Luck

h20coach - can you send me the part number? I went to GO2Marine and could only see bimini tops. I already have a bimini top and would like to possibly change to the T-Top. That $750 price sounds good too!

I don't have the number at my fingertips but it is the Bimi-T top made by Taylor made 4 1/2 x 6 and you have a choice of color canvas. The number is 1-877-780-5670 spoke to a Dave (very helpful) $766.86 with shipping and the weather enclosure,to New York. I would also check the TAYLOR MADE website it is under biminis.Anyother info let me know.
