Crack in Hull

Some of you may already know this but last winter I discovered a crack in my 2002 Bay 190 hull on the starboard concavity in the bow. It was repaired under lifetime warranty by RoughWater Marine in March. The crack is back and the hull has been draining for 2 weeks now. Called Joe Behrman at Triumph Warranty and he insisted on having the factory pick the boat up at my house in Alabama, take it to N.C. and fix it and return it to my house no charge. Waiting for his call on exactly when this will occur. That's pretty good warranty coverage. Hope it is not gone too long though. I'll keep everyone posted on how things go.

Smile Incredible Service

Hi Molar,

I had the same problem with my 2002 190 Bay and Joe did exactly the same for me. He picked it up PERSONALLY in Port Charlotte, FL. and had it delivered right back to my yard. Not only did the fix the hull, they went over it head to toe and checked everything. Incredible service and warranty. The boat is just fine now since they did the work on it. I'm sure you'll be happy.

I have an '01 186 Bay that developed the same crack last year. Like Molar's the dealer repaired it and it cracked again. Joe Behrman arranged to pick the boat up last December and do the repair in NC. Along with the repair they completed many other updates and winterized my boat as well all free of charge. Joe has been only too happy to accomodate me since then as well with a few smaller issues. The boat is fine now (I have probably had it out 30 times since) and I am more than satisfied. Hope this helps and a Big thumbs up to Joe! -Mark Zanelli

Still waiting for the return, he did say he had it as of last week. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Triumph had boat back to the house Sept 22. They said the hull was repaired after the addition of inner hull foam. Last weekend I decided to clean up the lower unit and paint a little instead of taking it out and will probably wait till spring to get it in the water again. The trailering company Triumph employed to transport the boat left a sweet boat cover on it that was made specifically to cover the Bay 190 Triumph with T-top! I am sure it is a "disposable" but is felt lined and quite durable in appearance. It is much better than the tarp I have been using and comes with its own tie downs. Star Fleet is written on the cover as that is whom may have been the transport company but this cover is worth tracking down for those whome may have a T-top and don't want to pay the $1000 for a custom cover. May have been put on there at the Triumph factory as well.

Boat back

Glad to see that you got your boat back......I was wondering about that. I kept searching the this site trying to figure out where the thread had started to find the answer on your boat.

Star Fleet

A search on Star Fleet comes up with Star Trek sites. I even added 'covers' and 'boat covers' and still got Star Trek sites.
