Propellers? 191 Fish/Ski

Just got back from a week at Lake Almanor, CA, elevation approx 5000 feet. The boat was laden with two extra batteries and a full tank of gas. Really had a hard time yanking a skiier out of the water with the extra weight and the altitude. I am running a Suzuki 140 DF with the factor 17 degree prop. Does anyone have a recommendation for a prop that will give me better low end acceleration so I can get on plane more quickly be it at altitude or sea level. I have been reading about the ProPulse. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Switch to a large diameter 15" or 14" 3/4 diam x 15 pitch and that will improve your hole shot and get you up on planning speed easier, stainless v.s. aluminum would be the better choice as well for heavier loads and the propeller blades will not flex under load as much. Top end wide open throttle speed may drop off 1-2 mph, but you will pull harder off the start and get onto plane quicker.

There's also variable pitch props on the market as well and would be something to consider.
