The day I received shipment of my 2005 191 F/S, I filled out the paperwork and sent a $300 check to transfer the hull warranty. I made sure it was there in the 15 day period deadline and provided all documentation required.
I just received a call this morning from the factory stating that because my boat was used for a year as a rental boat with their own rental company they cannot transfer the Lifetime hull warranty into my name. I was told by the Truimph dealer that sold me the boat that there would be no problem with Truimph in the transfer, but I may not be able to extend my Yamaha warranty due to the boat being used as a rental. The boat was sold via Truimph's own rental company and they still will not extend it. The person at the factory this morning said he had to do some research to find out they would not transfer it. How does the average boat buyer know the facts if the factory warranty people have to do research to come to that conclusion? I know many people buy Triumphs via the Triumph Boat Rentals company and I don't want anyone else to be misinformed and disappointed after the fact. So much for the new boat warm and fuzzies and feeling good about the support from the company that made your boat. Bluefin |

I pulled the title and the company is called:
Triumph Boat Rentals 80 South 8th Street Minneapolis, MN 55402 The sad part was even the guy at the factory said he had to really look into the subject to deny the transfer. If it was unclear to the Truimph employee how does the average boat buyer figure out what is right and wrong? Also, the company prides it's hull on how tough it is and how long it lasts but will not transfer a warranty on a two year old boat. Again, hopefully all is well with the hull and I go boating with a big on my face. Thanks guys!!!! Bluefin |

2005 - 191 Fish & Ski Rental Boat Warranty.
2005 - 191 Fish & Ski Rental Boat Warranty.
Sorry you are finding out after the sale what the warranty is on a commercial rental boat sale. I have a few left to sell and I guarantee you that "My Customers" know the deal before they purchase. They come in, give us a deposit, we put them into the boat on the water and let them run the boat as hard as they want with-in safety limits and if they are happy, we finish the deal Knowing that the As to the Hull warranty, there is not much to worry about. We are the master repair facility for Triumph from VA. to Maine and we do not get much at all in to work on. Some of the older Logics had some issues but since Genmar took over things have been very quite and my "$3,800 RopLene welding gun IS NOT getting any action.
