Forward Fish Box Drains

HAs anyone modified the forward fish boxes in their 195CC to enhance the drainage? Since the outlet is offset from the bottom it seems like it will hold water even after cleaning.

mine doesn't hold too much water. just a small puddle which I mostly notice at the dock. when I plane up everything but a few inches drains out. I will admit it's not the most well thought out design feature I've ever seen.

I have the same issue - wet boxes don't drain

Is there a fix for this? I don't actually use them for fish anyway - so I wondered if there is a way to just plug them so they could be used for dry storage?
