No Feedback or Hydraulic steering for a Suzuki 140HP?

Looking to purchase a 191FS. Not sure if it is worth the $600 to upgrade to hydraulic from No Feedback. Any comments concerning steering performance?

Hydraulic steering in ocean chop for 3-4 hours is like power steering.
Cable steering kill your arms and sticks if not maintained.
Ive had both types, but I really like my hydraulic system.
So far its proven reliable.

Ya need to test drive the difference, its like night and day.

Get it and don't look back!!!!! You will love it! You might want a spinner knob because the total turns lock to lock is greater with hydraulic. I have that setup on my 190 Bay.

I have been happy with the no feedback steering mainly because I am scarred if I try the hydrolic I will have to buy it. (haha) Otherwise, just shoot grease in there a couple times a year and no problemo with one less thing to wear out or break with the added bonus of bigger muscles!

Tilt hydraulic steering with a speed knob and 15 inch wheel is also real cool and in my opinon the only way to fly, BUT it takes up 2 inches more space and I had the leaning post moved aft to adjust for such...

Now you can also take your older fixed mount unit and change the mounting angle (still no tilt feature though) by installing this wedge bracket that I had mounted on my old 210 that worked great.

20° Wedge Kit
Part #HA5419 & HA5408 c/w Drain Kit

This kit is designed to mount the helm at a 20° angle to the mounting surface. 4 possible mounting configurations are available.

More information can be found at the bottom of this page...

Enjoy!
