Galv. EZ Loader trailer tie down locations for 2005 191FS?

The trailer has metal tabs that are mounted on the side of the trailer by the tail lights; this seems to be a really odd place with respect to the stern mounted tie down hooks. I was wondering how current owners have secured their boat to the trailer? On my current setup, the trailer tie down points are on the frame just below the stern hooks. What length tie down straps work best?

Ugh you mean I need to tie mine down

I have not even thought about that strange. I will inspect my trailer for a place to even strap the boat down to. Brought it back from the purchase location over 3oo miles of mountain grades and the thing never moved I just figured since the boat weighs over a grand it was not needed.

I got the Rod Saver brand 2" straps that hold 1,750 lbs each. They work just fine on the EZ-Loader setup with my 190 Bay (trailer hooks in front of the tails). I can't remember the length - maybe 2' or 3'. Just measure and go from there. I only use them on long trips. My typical trip is less than 2 miles from my home to the ramp. Anything more, I'll strap the stern down.

In addition, be sure that the bow eye is all the way up on the wench before you strap the stern down. If you need to stop abruptly on the road and the boat moves forward on the trailer, that will create slack in the stern straps.

I use those tabs for my tie down straps. they work fine and I never thought that an odd place for them to be. sorry I dont know the length of the straps I use, but I have done a number of long distance tows with out problem one at least with the straps. I was also very happy to have them when I got cut off on the ohio turnpike and locked up the trailer tires and swerved avoiding him.
