195 DC Feedback

I am seriously considering the 195 DC. Have not seen much in the way of feedback yet. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

terrag, I am also seriously considering the 195DC. I want to get one boat to do everything - fish (fresh & saltwater), ride, & ski - that is also easy to tow and launch with one person - me. The 195 seems to fill the bill nicely. The 191FS is nice, but I like the 195 much better. Before I make a decision I would like to ride in a Triumph, but have not had much luck there. I see you are in Statesville so I assume you boat on Lake Norman. I live on Lake Norman, but have not seen any Triumphs on the water here. I would love to talk to a local Triumph owner about his boat. Maybe there will be 2 on Norman soon!

I have a 191 and love it. I use it to fish salt and fresh water. I fish for bass and trout with no problems and the I go out in the salt water for salmon, halibut, crabs and more. I have had it out in seas 10 ft plus with no problems. I do not see why the 195 would be any different. My one regret is not having a CC with a T-top. With the DC if you want any shade you need to have the top up and it gets in the way of fishing but is nice to get out of the weather. Good luck

I love mine

Well, I've only had mine out a few times, so far I love it. I was a Center Console guy for the past 20 years and the old boat was pretty long in the tooth. I did look long and hard at the new 195 CC though (really nice with the T top). I primarily will use mine on the lake, with the occasional venture out to do striper fishin' As far as fishabilty, my personal opinion is that it's better than the CC for one reason: The cockpit area is huge for a twenty footer. If you remove the aft two jump seats it's as big as a small dance floor back there, plenty of room to fish.

I wanted a boat for all occasions, from cruising, pulling skiers to serious fishing. There are always compromises, but after looking at a lot of boats, I felt this 195DC was the closest I could get.

I was originally skeptical of the Triumph line because I like a deep V boat with plenty of gunwall height. The Bay series boats just were a bit too shallow for my taste. When they came out with the 210 / 215 and then the 195 / 191 series this perked my interest. This years dual console was a perfect fit for me.

It is a pretty big boat to launch and retrieve by yourself. If you have a good launch with good adjacent docks to tie up to it can be done. I've done it once at my local marina on the river. It was a challenge the first time, but it will be easier the next time.

I love the Dual Console. Plenty of room to fish and cruise, easy to trailer and about a 250 to 300 mile range with the 60 gallon fuel tank. I put the 150 Yamaha 4s on mine and it cranks. People have been happy with the 115 Yamaha and If your local dealer has Hondas I think the 135 would be just about the perfect fit. Very nice boat.

Allied-I do boat primarily on Norman, and like you have not seen Triumphs on the lake. I will hopefully be pulling the trigger soon on the 195DC. I will let you know.

Thanks.

Hi, This is my first post. I just bought my 195DC and pick it up Saturday morning. I got this model for much the same reasons as above. I want to be able to fish in Lakes and the ocean. But I also have to please the wife and kid, so we have to ski and cruize as well.

I was wondering how far the 60 gallon tank would take us. After we take it out Saturday and Sunday I will post my first real ride impressions for you all. I am going to Wylie to test her out, then to Norman and maybe Mtn. Island. We will go to the coast this fall.

I look forward to talking with you all more later. Roger, Charlotte,NC

I bought a 195DC this spring it's a great boat. I use it primarily for fishing and it a great fishing boat.

It's easy to trailer. I live in Maryland and I towed it to lake Ontario to go salmon fishing. It handled rough water great without ptoblems.

If you want a great all around boat this is it.

195 Dc

I have had my 195 DC, with a 115 Yamaha since May. I have put 70 hrs on the boat to date. I run the boat in Maryland and have been in rough and smooth water and the boat handles great in both. I use it for tubing and fishing and it was the perfect boat for my purpose.
The only constant problem has been the bilge pump. It's been replaced twice and both have failed to work automatically. I'll have the third one installed in a few weeks.
Enjoy!
