Picking Up New 195CC Saturday

I am 40 years old and grew up around my fathers used boats (usually older cruisers) and I am taking delivery of my new 195CC this Saturday. I just wanted to drop a note to let forum members know that by finding this site and reading through these forums I became a fan of these boats during my search.

The boat sold itself, but being able to read owner's personal posts regarding the boats, accessories, etc...I was sold.

Congratulations NJWardy on the new boat! And thank you for the kind words regarding the website. It is gratifying to read things like this and makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Welcome, I know you will love that boat. I have the same model and have had it for a month. We mainly use it in Lake Erie here in NE Ohio. What engine did you order yours with. I got mine with a Honda 135, and absolutley love it.

Enjoy

I just took delivery of my new 2007 195CC last Saturday.
The boat performs great.
Can't wait to get out again this weekend.

I keep my boat in Forked River, NJ.
Where are you located?

Good Luck
Steve

I got it with the Yamaha 4 Stroke 115hp. I will be keeping it on the water in Ocean City, NJ.

Now I need to accessorize! CC Cover, Stereo, etc.

I actually bought the 170cc on Sunday...then went back on Monday for an in water test and upgraded.

I will set it up and take some shots for posting. Now we are thinking of names.

I've heard about "big boat syndrome" but and upgrade in 1 day - that's impressive!

The boat is sitting in my driveway while I accessorize prior to this weekend's maiden voyage. I have a question:

The two front storage areas (under the front seats) have water in the bottom just below the drain hole. When I was looking at the 170cc it had false bottoms to prevent items in these compartments from sitting in this water. Should my boat have these false bottoms?

I have the same boat and mine did not come with them. I keep a kitchen type baster with a short piece of plastic tubing on the end, in one of the compartments to suck up the water that is below the drains. Then I stick the end in to the drain hole and squeeze the water out the drain. I also bought two 3/4" diameter rubber stoppers to put in the same drain holes to prevent any back flow of water into the compartments. Just be sure to remove the stoppers when left at the dock or on the trailer to prevent them from filling up with rain water. You have to keep in mind that these are FISH boxes and really were not intended to be dry storage lockers. I purchased a couple dry bags to keep anything I want really dry to stay that way. You can get them in all sizes at a good outfitter or boat supply house. I like the clear ones so you can see whats in them easily.

Pump Issues and Pics

We love the boat. I discovered that both the raw water and the bilge pumps were cracked right at the clamps (obviously the manufacturer overtightened). I replaced both pumps.

I also did not install a conventional am/fm radio. I decided to go with an MP3 player setup: http://www.rocktheboataudio.com/html/35953.html

I took the whole family and the boat to Lake Anna, VA and stayed on the private side. I think they shoudl call i tthe hot/nuclear side as the water was over 95 degrees most of the time. Even still, we had a great time!
