Trollers for Freshwater

Does anyone have a troller installed for the 195 DC? If so could you post a pick and the specifications.

I cant figure out where you could put one without removing the Bow Rail or major modifications to the transom. There is a trolling set that can be purchased that is located on the trim tabs but I dont want to spend $1200.00 + on a trolling motor. If someone has mounted on on the 195DC I would also like to see a pic.

Well, there was a thread a few weeks ago that talked about clearance issues at the bow rail, pics included. I remember thinking that our bow rail is too low. By the way, just got one of those Trol-o-Matic spring loaded trolling plates. I have it clamped on the cavitation plate right now. I'll need to do a little trimming to clear the steering torque tab. I'll post a pic and a report when I'm done and tested out.

OK, It has been Months since this subject was addressed. Has anyone figured out how to put a trolling motor on the 195DC yet? I was thinking maybe design a mount that attaches to the bow rail or something that can be removed when not in use. I dunno, I cant believe there isnt an answer to this. I mean it is a fish and ski, Help!!!

braley's mount

As I mentioned below, I remembered seeing a bow mounted trolling motor on a thread. It fit without bow rail removal. I found it. braley put one on his 215 and did a bang up job. It might work on our 195DC if there is clearance enough. Check the below thread:

Trolling Motor on 215

Good luck,
Ron

If I were to mount a trolling motor again on my 190.....it would be on the transom with a wireless remote control or better yet, duals on trim tabs. Someone just posted a bow mount on the anchor pulpit of a 195 cc which might be a starting idea.
Good luck, Molar
