Throttle friction control

Does anyone know where the throttle friction control is located on 2007 191FS? On my old Champion w/ Quicksilver set up it was in plane sight, but I can't find it on this one.
Thanks!

The 191FS uses a Teleflex/Morse unit. The Friction control screw is under the hand lever plastic cover, It should be at about the 5 o'clock position. You need a philips head screwdriver to adjust the friction.

1) I can't seem to find the friction adjustment screw. Anyone know where I can look at a breakdown to see exactly where this is located?

2) I took the cover off the throttle control looking for the friction adjustment screw, and when I put it back on I must have done something wrong - the throttle lever doesn't lock into neutral like it did before. Anybody got any ideas on this?

Thanks!

Take the cover back off and re-install it. I am thinking you do not have it lined up correct and it is coveing up the nuteral detent. Better yet, take the cover back off and take some pictures so we can see it and point it out to you.

Should be a rather simple fix though

They did a fine job hiding that one

I say look "under" that inside black rubber gasket for the adjustment screw from the top all the way around on both sides. Now once you get it adjusted the way you want it, then re-install the check for the neutral detent function. Make sure nothing is binding in the housing that could be causing such.

Also,Triumph has been known to use from the factory "standard" quality shifter cables that have failed for not only myself on my old 210, but others here until we had the gray teleflex cables (the ones you tie in a knot and still work) installed. Matter of fact, those are the ones I had installed on my 190 before the first trip out You could be also fighting with a binding cable issue at the same time. If so, better get it to the dealer to have inspected

Thanks for looking, I thought maybe I was just blind. I'll see about having the cables checked out too.
